Description

For many black men like myself, the barbershop holds a much wider cultural significance than being simply a place to go when your hair looks unkempt. A recent UK study by Tamika Roper and John A. Barry found that on average, black men socialise at the barbershop more often than their white and Asian counterparts; pointing to the potential positive impact on mental health of a trip to get a trim.
