Description

‘The referee was standing right over me and if he felt I had done anything bad he would have sent me off’. Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe today claimed that his bite on Javier Mascherano has been “blown out of all proportion”. Defoe appeared to clamp his jaws on to Mascherano’s arm following a foul on him by the Argentinian during Tottenham’s 1-0 win over West Ham yesterday.
