Tiger Woods smiles during a news conference about the upcoming Target Wolrd Challenge which benefits the Tiger Woods Foundation at the Sherwood Country Club, Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2005, in Thousand Oaks, Calif. It was also announced that Tiger Woods won the 2005 PGA Tour Player of the Year award for the seventh time. At 2, he frolicked on the Mike Douglas Show and showed preternatural interest in golf. At 16, he played in his first PGA Tour event and showed tantalizing promise if not a polished game (he missed the cut).
